Picpoul de Pinet 2013, Guillemarine
Fruity, floral, full of flavour - citrus and pear. Personality: refreshing; loves to meet: fresh seafood, aperitif snacks.
The Picpoul de Pinet Grape is known as the 'Muscadet of the south.' The Domaine de Guillemarine has been a family business for generations.
A delicious blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with red and black cherries and flavours of red and black on the nose and palate, followed by a long, full-bodied and attractive finish. Ready for drinking now (although you may wish to try it decanted) and over the next two or three years.
Very much a wine of today - light, dry and with a fresh vitality - from this most traditional of appellations.
This crisp Chenin Blanc is in true Cederberg style, showing a powerful nose of tropical melon, grapefruit and lemon peel. Five months of lees contact have created a mouth-tingling crispness with a lingering finish. Great with food. Unquestionably one of the most successful examples of its type in the Cape.
Beautifully smooth and well-balanced, fresh and fruity with real length of flavour
