Schild Estate, Barossa Shiraz 2009
Classic Barossa characteristics are seen at their best in this fine example from the grower's Angus Brae vineyard in the Barossa's cool south. It welcomes the nose with an abundance of black pepper and cassis. The bouquet follows through on the palate, producing an enticing, complex wine. A soft tannin structure and a careful selection of American oak enhance the typically rich Barossa fruit flavours. Outstanding, 92 points Wine Spectator. Silver Medal at 2011 International Wine Challenge.
Schild Estate comprises some of the oldest vineyards in Australia, including the famous Moorooroo vineyard near Jacob’s Creek whose vines are over 160 years old. The vineyard site selection has favoured the cooler, southern end of the Barossa which enjoys a slower and longer ripening period – perfect for optimum grape flavour development. The wines made here are unmistakably Australian, rich and full of fruit, but without any over-ripeness, flabbiness or excess of alcohol.

High quality Sauternes that's approachable in both price and style. Ripe fruits and honey combine with freshness
OUT OF STOCK. The wines of this domaine are typified by their rich flavours of tropical and citrus fruit with creamy and nutty oak. The Bourgogne Cuvée des Forgets is among the most serious Bourgognes you can find, provides excellent early drinking (but will age well for a few years) and offers great value for money. This cuvée comes from different parcels in the Bourgogne Blanc appellation, situated in the territory of Meursault les Herbeux and les Vaux, next to Volnay.
IWSC Silver Medal. This Margaret River Shiraz is a fascinating blend of violets and spicy, black pepper notes of the Shiraz with the more savoury licorice aromas from the Tempranillo.
A complex wine to rival a good Barolo, that balances juicy fresh fruits with savoury flavours and a touch of wood on the nose.
